Biographical Information[edit]
David Parsons, frequently referred to as "Whit", grew up in Maine, the son of a physician. He enrolled in Colby College, where he was president of the class of 1891, and played on its baseball team from 1888 to 1891. During the summers of 1889 and 1890, he played in Saint John, NB, including in the 1890 New Brunswick League. After graduating from Colby, he played for Lewiston in the 1891 New England League. He then attended Yale University's law school, playing on its team in 1893[1]. He opened a law office in Minneapolis, MN[2], residing in Minnesota for the remainder of his life.
