Biographical Information[edit]
Relief pitcher Chasen Bradford began his professional career in 2011 after being taken in the 35th round of that year's draft by the New York Mets. The scout was Scott Nichols.
He averaged 10 strikeouts per nine innings for the Kingsport Mets his first season and, in 2012, he had a 2.47 ERA in 37 relief appearances for the Savannah Sand Gnats. Between the St. Lucie Mets (30 G, 3.71 ERA) and Binghamton Mets (20 G, 0.71 ERA) in 2013, Bradford went a combined 9-3 with a 2.61 ERA. He was selected to participate in the Arizona Fall League that year and went 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA in 10 games for the Scottsdale Scorpions. He reached Triple-A for the first time in 2014 and went 3-2 with a 3.52 ERA at that level. Overall, he was 4-4 with a 2.97 ERA and 16 saves in 57 games that year. He returned to Triple-A for 2015, posting a 4.10 ERA.
