Biographical Information[edit]
Carl Miles pitched two games for the Philadelphia Athletics in 1940. At age 22, he had been at the University of Missouri during the years 1938-1940, and his major league debut was on June 8th.
It had been over a decade since a player from the University of Missouri had made his debut in the majors.
He also pitched several years for the Trenton Senators and Trenton Packers of the Inter-State League, going 13-7 in 1941.
