He made his pro debut that summer with the Orem Owlz, hitting .300/.381/.359 with 7 doubles, 3 triples, 18 RBIs, and 19 stolen bases in 26 tries over 61 games.

He split 2007 between the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes (.258/.311/.341) and the Arkansas Travelers (.301/.372/.385), stealing 56 bases between the two clubs. He was thrown out running 21 times. He managed to lead both Rancho Cucamonga and Arkansas in steals as well as pacing all Angels farmhands in that area. He again did not finish in the minors' top 5 in steals though he was in the top 5 in times caught stealing again, tying Quentin Davis and Ovandy Suero for second, one behind Diory Hernandez. He again paced Angels minor leaguers in stolen bases. He hit .260 for the Estrellas de Oriente in the '08 Dominican League.
