Norris is definitely facing the right team to avoid extending this streak. He is 4-7 with a 7.03 ERA against teams that aren't the Cardinals. Including the 4 shutout innings (on 41 Pitches) that he has thrown as I write this, he is 3-0 with 22 IP and 0 ER against the Cardinals.

I find it interesting that the most wins in this group had only 2 - 2 guys lead the way with 1 CG each and that the best ERA in the bunch was 6. -- So starting strong might not always indicate success.

On a quick side note/ Andy, I assume you're watching the Yanks/Tigers - the rest of the country benefits by the MLB network but that guy on the Tigers with 7 2 baggers in his first 55ABs sounds like fodder for a post?

Juan Pizarro must have been pitching hurt in early 1965. After his seventh start he didn't pitch for about five weeks (DL?), then came back and went 5-1 with a 2.44 ERA (.595 OPS against) the rest of the season.

Interesting to see that Rick Langford made both this list and the consecutive 7+ IP list. Plus, he had 28 CGs in 1980!
