		<description><![CDATA[I remember Barbaro Garbey leading the league in batting in the early going.  His BA didn&#039;t drop below .350 until 5/25/84.  I remember Sparky Anderson talking him up.  Or maybe I remember reading years later that Anderson had been talking him up.  I didn&#039;t realize until now that Garbey was 27 that year.  Nor did I remember that Garbey was only playing about 2/3 of the time.]]></description>
