The two beauties in 1967 also featured ironman jobs by the Yankees' Jake Gibbs in April (caught 18 innings, then singled stole second and scored the winning run in a Pepitone single and Bosox' Russ Gibson (caught all 18), as well as 38-year old Elston Howard (traded to Boston August 3), who caught the first game of the August 29th doubleheader (see Wikipedia for what a doubleheader is) and then came into the second game in the ninth inning, catching a total of 20+ innings for the day. 40,000 + attendance for the ninth-place CBS Yankees.
