I can't tell if "T" was being snarky @1. But given the rates of 3-HR games for the different postseason series, it's about time we had one in the Division Series:

-- 1 per 138 games in the LCS (3 in 415 total games);
-- 1 per 206 games in the WS (3 in 617 total games);
-- 1 (Beltre) in 275 games in the LDS.

That's why it was so sad -- pathetic, really -- when Barry Bonds said, after breaking various Ruth records, "Don't talk about him no more." As if.

how famous and or awesome is the babe? well he hit 3 hrs in a WS game twice, was the first and only guy to do it for 60 some odd WS, and this guy had never heard of it before this and finds it to be the 100th odd most impressive thing about the babe's career.

Beltre's feat is the first time that all three homeruns proved decisive in the game. The other games were at least 4 run leads, or in George Brett's case, a loss.

The Rangers are for real, and I predicted several months ago that their left handed pitching will be a problem for the Yankees should they meet in the playoffs. We may not get the chance to find out.
