Pitcher Stephen Marek was drafted by the Anaheim Angels in the 40th round of the 2004 amateur draft and made his debut with the Orem Owlz in 2005.
On July 29, 2008, Marek was traded by the Angels with Casey Kotchman to the Atlanta Braves for Mark Teixeira.
