Pitcher Rick Young was drafted by the California Angels in the 12th round of the 1969 amateur draft. He was listed on the Angels 1972 spring roster, but never made the majors. In 1973, Young was 12-9 and was third in the Pacific Coast League with a 3.11 ERA.
