[edit] Biographical Information
Pitcher Julian Morgan managed 9 teams in 5 years. By 1956 he was a scout for the Atlanta Crackers. His playing career lasted from 1938-1953, with a career record of 66-69.
In 1953, when he was dismissed by the Middlesboro Athletics, Morgan filed a petition with George Trautman to be paid for the whole year. Trautman wanted the two sides to reach a compromise, but when they couldn't he ruled in favor of Morgan in December. The ballclub appealed, and in February of 1954, Ford Frick agreed to review the case.
Morgan scouted for the New York Mets from their inception through at least the mid-1980s.
