Joe Koukalik pitched well in his one game with the 1904 Brooklyn Superbas, but didn't stick. In 8 innings he gave up only one earned run.
Koukalik is one of the few major leaguers born in Austria-Hungary.
On the 1904 Superbas, Koukalik was the same age as Oscar Jones, who led the staff with 17 victories.
