Frank Jude took away a regular outfield job on the 1906 Reds from Fred Odwell (they were traded for each other), but lost it to him in 1907. He had previously been at Toledo.
The Sporting Life of January 5, 1907, called him an "Ojibwa Redskin". The July 21, 1906 issue of the same publication said he was welcomed to the majors with a chorus of warwhoops, and said he began his major league career "with a smash".
He had gone to the Carlisle Indian School.
