Fran Mullins was an infielder who played in parts of 3 seasons with the 3 different teams in the majors. He made his debut on September 1, 1980 and started the last 20 games of the season at 3rd base for the 1980 White Sox. His first hit was a double against Jerry Koosman of the Minnesota Twins on September 12, 1980. He hit just .194 no homers and 3 RBI but only committed 1 error at 3rd base. He did not play in the majors again until he was with the 1984 San Francisco Giants. He was on the team for the entire season, hitting .218 with 2 home runs and 10 RBI. His first major league home run came on May 11, 1984 against the Montreal Expos. The pitcher was Charlie Lea. He had started the game batting eighth and playing shortstop. In 1986 he spent time with the Cleveland Indians. He started 8 games and appeared in 20 others that year, batting .175 with 0 home runs and 5 RBI. His last major league hit came on September 27, 1986 against Lee Guetterman of the Seattle Mariners.
