Before 1949 Season: Sent by the Cincinnati Reds to the Brooklyn Dodgers to complete an earlier deal made on September 29, 1948. The Cincinnati Reds sent a player to be named later and cash to the Brooklyn Dodgers for Jimmy Bloodworth. The Cincinnati Reds sent Kermit Wahl (1949) to the Brooklyn Dodgers to complete the trade.
