Hi baseball fans!,
If you're in Staunton sometime in June or July, you have to absolutely go to enjoy a Braves baseball game at Moxie Stadium!
The Staunton Braves are a part of the Valley League, which is made of all-star caliber NCAA college and university baseball players. The organization and fans are first-class and you'll enjoy seeing some of baseball's stars of tomorrow!
Drop by and see Mr. Duff for a great Italian Sausage sandwich! See Kay, Boyd or Garland and tell them that Pat Malone said "Hi!"
You'll have a great time watching Braves baseball at Moxie Stadium!

too many kids and assualts -- 2003-08-01
i hope you havetime to see this because i have lot to say. i have a been a staunton braves fan for 20 years. i always enjoyed going untill the other night. i was hit by a rock on the right pinky by a kid who i guess thought it was cool to hurt someone.there were a lot of kids there in fact way too many. some were trying to get in free some made sexually sugesstive comments to women coming out of the bathroom. some would run over you. the staunton police told me there were lot of complaints that night. i do not feel safe anymore. i can't even go the bathroom or leave early without a kid doing nasty. things. this is not the first time a kid threw something at me. i had spitballs in my hair. i told the police and a lady who was at the gates collecting money. this happenned about a month ago. i noticed this was getting out of hand.when garland was owner and the last 2 years he was there the kids started to get rough. i will not be going to anymore games during the playoffs because i am too scared and my job depends on my body to be well. i am a fitness trainer and i don't want anything to end my job. i worked too hard for this. i feel as fan and one paying to support your team i am being cheated i will not stand for the assualts and abuse that the fans are being put up with the kids.if the kids are not watching the games then they need to stay home. i have a sugesstion.put signs up and have police or securtiy guards stand at the gates. the signs should say children are not allowed in the ballparks alone. they must stay with the parents at all times. no drop-offs. alot of kide are being dropped off by their parents. waynesboro had a problem for shaile but they got to the bottome of it and it is not bad as it was. i know this is getting but i had to get this of my chest. the police did file a report that i was asaulted. my finger is hurting a little and i can't use. it that much. ialready had a volleyball ingury with the finger but it didn;t ahurt. until iwas hit by a rock! i appreciated you looking at this note and the matter in which it must be resolved very soon. i think you have done a good job running the staunton braves but i think some things must change in order for it be fan-freindly. thank you!!!sincerely, leslie campbell ps;if kids are not watching the game then why are they there in the first place?

Company Nite Free Tickets -- 2003-06-22
Your newspaper ad states that for Sunday June 22 game free tickets are at Kathy's in Staunton. Went by there to get some for my grandchildren and myself, and was told by manager that they had no tickets left. She said she has been trying to contact y'all for more but you will not return her call. Do not publish something in the paper that you do not back up.
