Haymarket Battle Cats Info -- 2005-08-02
The Haymarket Battle Cats are a part of the Valley Baseball League which plays in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. The Valley League is sanctioned by the NCAA and sponsored by Major League Baseball. The Valley League is a wooden bat summer league made up of NCAA All-Stars.
The Battle Cats play at Battlefield High School, which is on US 15, 2 miles north of Interstate 66, exit 40. Washington, DC is located about 40 miles east of Haymarket, at the end of I-66.
Battlefield High School (www.battlefieldbobcats.org) is located directly across the street from Dominion Valley Country Club (www.dominionvalley.com) which has two Arnold Palmer signature golf courses on property. Piedmont Country Club is located directly to the south of Battlefield High School. Average house prices around Battlefield High School are $800,000.00 to $1 Million dollars.
There is plenty of parking at Battlefield High School.
Ticket prices are $5.00 for adults, $3.00 for senior citizens and $2.00 for children 6 through 12.
