Turks in the MLB -- 2002-10-07
Actually, Many Turks have made it to the big leagues, including Steve Finley, Mo Vaughn, Jamie Moyer and David Eckstein, to name but a few. The Turks play in the Valley League, a wooden bat league for undrafted college kids very similar to te Cape Cod League. If you want more information on the Valley League in general, feel free to email me as I have produced a documentary for PBS on the topic.
