Driller Stadium is good -- 2001-07-10

The only thing I don't like about Driller Stadium is the lack of visibility down the lines when you're sitting on that side of the stadium. Last time I was there I sat where I was on a line from the first base bag to the pitching rubber to third base and found that to be an interesting place to sit because you could watch the runner and the pitcher at the same time.

As the previous post stated, it is a heck of a lot better than the old park, where the bleachers actually collapsed in the late 70's during an exhibition game between the Drillers and the Rangers (their parent club). The Rangers ballplayers made a name for themselves that day as they quit being baseball players and became rescuers. It was the first year of their affiliation with Tulsa and I think that is why Tulsa is so much of a Ranger town (along with Cardinal town as they used to have the AAA Cardinal club).

    Outstanding Park... -- 2001-06-04

I think the Driller's den is not only attractive, but it's a great place to see a game... the 'new' park is way ahead of the old stadium w/ the wooden bleachers, etc... I certainly look forward to getting back there to see some games this summer... =D

note: I am NOT from Oklahoma... nor do I even Live there... but I know a cool park when I'm IN one... ;)
