Semi-pro baseball team started playing in summer of 1999 at Riverside Park, an all-wooden early 20th century-style stadium also built in 1999. The stadium is built in a horseshoe bend in the Tradewater River across the from the site known locally as the "Old Mill Dam." As you look out from the stadium bluffs form a beautiful backdrop against the outfield as you can listen to the river flowing over the old dam. Very picturesque scene.
