    Best in the Minor's -- 2005-06-09

Having been to many minor league parks, this park stands alone at the top.

    Great Place.. -- 2004-05-23

Best ballpark I've been to. All the modern amenities, inexpensive...Great view of the Ashley River...pelicans flying...Got to try boiled peanuts (they're better not boiled!)even caught a foul ball for my 4 year old son!!!...After game we had the best crab cakes we've ever tasted at a nearby restaurant....Great night had by all!

Great City, Great Park -- 2001-06-19

A good example of a modern park done the right way. Lots of brick and incredible views of the water.

Riley Park replaces the old historic Charleston ballpark which was donated to the Citadel. It was used to film major portions of Minor League II (or was it III?, pretty soon it will be like the Rocky movies). The old park was quaint, but had no amenities. Riley park is spacious where it needs to be (around the bathrooms and concession stands) and cozy everywhere else. Wonderful selection of micro-brewery beer.

Comedian Bill Murray is a big baseball fan and part owner of the River Dogs. He often attends the game and is just a regular guy in the ballpark.

Charleston is a city well worth visiting, much like a miniature New Orleans without all the problems. Be sure and visit the ballpark, too.

    Great Ballpark -- 2001-02-15

This is one of the finer minor league ballparks in the country. Great views of Downtown Charleston and the Ashley River. Great scenery and great activities. The spectator can really feel like a part of the game. Every seat is on top of the field and has a great vantage point.

On field promotions are always entertaining. Mike Veeck et al have done a wonderful job here.

Great city to vacation and pick up a game. A perfect 10!
