    Good stadium/Good sight -- 2001-08-28

    Lake Olmstead Stadium has been much improved over the past few years. The stadium, once called Heaton Stadium, has new seats, new grass and lower dugouts which gives a good line of sight from every seat. A picnic area is down the right foeld line and there's plenty of parking in and around the stadium. One note:it hot ans sticky in Augusta, Georgia in the summertime so be prepared to sweat, (even at night) Day games start at 2:15 and night games at 7:15. Come on down and stop in if you are ever in the area.

    I've never been to Lake Olmstead Stadium.....but if you'd like to see pictures of it visit www.dantclayton.com . The site also has pictures of John Thurman Field in Modesto(California League).
