    A LOT has Changed -- 2008-07-01

I feel the need to address the comments from years earlier by saying that the new stadium is complete and in an incredible setting in one of the bends of the Clark Fork River near downtown Missoula. The Osprey are here to stay.

Osprey Management (Matt Ellis) is not a nice person -- 2006-08-18

Please see www.mzla.com/ballpark He is going out of his way to not please the community. It sounds like he's doing to us (Missoula) what he did to Lethbridge. Ouch.

    Not worth it -- 2003-02-06

For an ownership group that turned its back on the city of Lethbridge, who spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to renovate Henderson Stadium and build new facilities for the players, playing baseball in a stadium that shouldn't even be hosting Professional Baseball is an outrage and typical of the mindset of these owners. It will be very interesting to see if the city of Montana builds a new stadium for the Ellis', or if these people will leave the city of Missoula in the same disgusting way they left Southern Alberta, for another city too stupid to see these people for who they truly are.

A good time was had by all. -- 2001-11-21

I took the boys to an Osprey game in July of 2001, and we had a lot of fun. The park is not the greatest, but the atmosphere was fantastic. The guys were able to meet and talk with Marc Davis (Missoula pitching coach) and Ben Ogilvie (Idaho Falls hitting instructor). If you're planning a trip to Western Montana, I wholeheartedly recommend that you take in a game or two.

    New facility needed. -- 2001-09-06

The Osprey play on a field designed for the local American Legion team, and it is inadequate for professional baseball. Nevertheless, devoted MIssoulians turn out in enthusiastic numbers to see their Osprey. The stands are all uncovered, except for a small section with a little tarp over it---but late on the 100-degree day that we visited, it provided no shade anyway. All seating is the high-school football type bleachers. The players have no faclities at all, except a dugout. One player was being worked on by the trainer in the walkway to the grandstand. Still, it's minor league baseball, and the game is the game, and fans in Missoula don't mind toughing it out. Go see a game.
