GOOD SEATS STILL AVAILABLE!!! -- 2002-05-12

One of the good things about the 'Blatt is that there are plenty of great seats available for every game except the Fourth of July Fireworks game. I once walked up to the ticket booth ten minutes before first pitch and was able to buy front row, right behind home plate. It's a great ballpark, though, as the City of Omaha has worked really hard to keep the College World Series there. Eat at Zesto's afterward-it's right by the ballpark and a local tradition.

    Don't Sit Behind a Dugout -- 2001-06-07

What can you say about Rosenblatt Stadium, except "Good Seats Available." Always plenty of empty seats and cheap tickets. Tuesdays are $2 with a local grocery store card, and Fridays are fireworks.

Just make sure you don't sit behind either dugout. The local mascot (Casey the lion) gets up there during play. Then all the kids come running down, screaming, "Casey, Casey." Man, it's annoying. I'd have no problem with it between innings, but it's wrong to get the mascot up there blocking your view during the game. It's better to sit behind the plate, or if you don't like sitting behind the net, then to either side of the dugouts.

The concessions aren't cheap either. I try to bring in something to munch on. But with cheap, plentiful tickets for AAA-caliber baseball and little traffic around the stadium, it's a good deal overall.
