Nice ball park -- 2001-06-09
As far as AAA fields go Greer stadium is a little run down but it's still a great place to see a game. It's well worn but comfortable and the narrow foul line lends to the intimate feel of the park. If you're a penny pincher you'll really appreciate the $10 seats right behind home plate. I've always had a great time at Greer and you will too.

I live in Nashville, TN and go to the ballpark every home game (it can get addictive). It is not really up to AAA standards, but it is a great homey-feeling park nestled in near suburbia Nashville. The club features Weekly Promotions, and they are as follows: Sunday Family Fiesta( Kids' giveaways, wacky characters & more.), Monday Money Madness ( Cash giveaways), Two for Tuesdays ( 2-for-1 prices on tickets and selected concessions), Wiener Wednesdays (25 cent hot dogs all night long), Thirsty Thursdays ( Draft beer and sodas $1 until the top of the 5th inning), Firework Fridays, and Spectacular Saturdays (festive theme nights and great giveaways).
Ticket prices: Premier Seats( Sections I-R Rows 1-10) $10.00 Adult $9.00 Child(Ages 3-12)/Senior(65 and over) Premium (E-V) $9 & $8, Regular Seats(A-D, HH-SS) $8 & $7, General Admission $6 & $5. You can buy the tickets at the ballpark, buy calling the Sounds Box Office @ (615) 242-4371,or on the Internet @ www.nashvillesounds.com. Sluggers® Sports Bar & Grill sits atop the press box and is a great place to sit, have dinner and enjoy the game(they at times have after game parties up there). Something new this year(2001) is the Stewart( Lumber Co.) Homerun Deck, which is home to the Liner Diner.
The Liner Diner hosts groups of 20( Fri or Sat.) and groups of 100 or more (Sun.-Thur.). It contains a buffet which opens 2 hours before each game and remains open until the end of the first inning. Homerun Deck is a multilevel deck which provides a terrific view of the game and stadium. You can book your event at (615) 242-4371. Groups of 20 or more get ticket discounts. 20- 99 = $7.50 Premium $6.50 Regular, 100-199 $7.25, $6.25, 200-299 $7, $6, and 300+ $6.50, $5.50. The last game of their season is Sept. 2nd. You ought to come and see a Sounds game. There is a great atmosphere and alot of foul balls. And i you wait near the gate on the 3rd Base side, you can get player autographs. It's really a fun and enjoyable time!!!

I bought a mini-pack of season tickets, and the people at the Sounds were great--personally delivering my package gifts (hat/banner) to my office and also personally delivering my tickets. A friend of mine organized a group outing for later this season, and she got similarly great service. This is a first class organization. Too bad their parent club is the Pirates.
