    Where to sit -- 2003-08-30

I attended three games at the Fish Bowl this season. I advise ordering tickets ahead at 204.780.3333. The Goldeyes have been consistently drawing 7,000 fans per night this season and had 7,924 for a recent game.

Try for seats in Sections R or S, down the first-base line, which are relatively inexpensive. Avoid A and B, on the third-base line.

The right-field berm is great. For $3 you can bring in a blanket (no chairs) and sit on the grass. Beats sitting!

    Total Experience -- 2001-08-19

CanWest is a wonderful place to take in a ballgame. The park was summed up by Mitch Ryder when during a concert he said in a pure deadpan voice, "If I had a train set I'd build a ballpark in the middle of it." Now you have to go CanWest to understand what he meant.

The Goldeyes are constantly being praised for the professionalism that the organization exhibits. The whole experience is first class right from the pre-game entertainment to the baseball product on the field managed by Hal Lanier. The concession areas and the between inning festivities are as good as you'll find in minor league baseball.
