This is one of the great things about Brockton -- 2005-12-05
I have been going to see the Brockton Rox play since their first season back in 2002. I watched as they won a championship in their first season and got a chance to have my picture taken with the hardwear ( and two now-former players). I also watch a end of short rein of Ed Notel ( sorry if i spelled your name wrong) in Brockton. He took the Rox into the playoffs either 2 or 3 out of fourth years. He was a fan favorite with Jake, Saul, and Craig Lewis to name a few. I think he will be missed in Brockton.

JUST GET THERE -- 2005-01-31
Brockton ROX : As good a take-in as you'll find in baseball. A great ballpark , friendly and helpful staff : and above all very good baseball. I've been going to watch the ROX since they started , and have never had anything but a good time. The entire organization is very fan-conscious : In 2003 the teams General Manager was named as a minor league Executive of the Year -- and was actually working as a ticket-taker at the following night's game. I commented on that to him...his reply,"How else can I find out how we're doing". The players actually enjoy the fans -- not a prima donna in the bunch. With Red Sox tickets the most expensive in baseball , the ROX are an outstanding alternative , particularly for families.
Give it a try...you'll go back

Brockton Rox - new ballpark -- 2002-08-09
This is the inaugural year of the Brockton Rox, who play in the independent Northern League and are not affiliated with any major league team. Brockton Rox play in Campanelli Stadium (which opened in May 2002), about 20 miles south of Boston. All seats are between the foul poles and all have good views, close to the action. Even the "worst" seat in the place has a great view of the field. The nice new stadium is very open, allowing a nice breeze in the evening. The field looks nice too. The crowd and the atmosphere was good. The prices are reasonable (seats and food). There is a clear view of the field from the concourse. There is even a row of private boxes. The capacity is about 4 or 5,000. I was able to buy my tickets online and print them at home. The time I visited was a Friday and the crowd was near capacity. The website says the closest box seats ("super box" seats) are all sold out for the year. These super close seats also feature waitress service to your seat.
Although the lines were long and slow, the food was very good. They had wine and local microbrews for sale, as well as a veggie plate and a cheese tray that was good. A tasty hot dog and a sausage-and-peppers sub was also sampled. The service is friendly.
The game we attended at the new ballpark made for a pleasant evening. I wish the Rox good luck with their new team and ballpark.
