Oldsmobile Park -- 2006-01-21
It's not at all a bad experience. If you get there early enough you can often find a free parking spot on the street. Otherwise, three buck lots are within easy walking distance. The stadium fits into the plot in an interesting, quirky manner. Eight bucks a ticket is not really outrageous. My only real complaint is that the concessions are offered at major league prices.

Let's Go Nuts!!!! -- 2004-08-24
I have enjoyed the Lugnuts' 10-game ticket package for all but one year of their existance. For just $80, I get MORE than my money's worth. The food is better than the average ballpark fare, you can park close for three bucks (or free, if you're willing to walk a little), and it's a great place to take the kids - there's a lot of stuff for them to do if they aren't interested in baseball (yet)!
On Thursday home games during the season, you can get beer (we aren't talking Bud Light either) for TWO BUCKS!
If that alone isn't enough to bring you to the park, I don't know what is.

$8.00 for low A ball? Olds Park is only one level. If you are sitting close to the diamond, that means longer and ultimately fewer trips to restrooms and concessions. The crowd is mostly lower-middle age. The lack of teens and preteens translates into a quieter and more subdued crowd. Michigan's state capitol building and the Lansing "skyline" are about a half mile behind the stadium. So there is nothing but empty sky beyond the outfield walls.

Fantastic family entertainment! -- 2001-05-24
Oldsmobile Park in Lansing is wonderful place to see a ballgame. It also offers many safe diversions for the kids, including a water fountain they can play in! This is minor league baseball at its best. Between innings people are chosen from the crowd to dress up in those silly sumo wrestlter cosutmes and battle it out on the field. It's a top-notch family entertainment venue.
