    Community Field 2005 -- 2005-07-10

The park underwent a major upgrade in 2004/5 and the money was well spent. The seating area is as it was before but the exterior, concession area and restrooms have been greatly improved. Concessions are very reasonable and pretty tasty. A fun night at the park was concluded by the staff greeting us at the exits reminding us to come back and since the Bees lost, they encouraged us to come back and see a winner the next time

Baseball for the fans -- 2002-12-09

This is the way it should be. No luxery boxes, minimum number of cell phones, no drunks - just local fans (and me) enjoying an evening out at the ball park. Try the wursts.

Minor League Baseball Like It Useta Bee -- 2001-08-08

The quintessential minor league ballpark. I had been in Burlington a full day before I discovered Community Stadium was right across the street from my hotel: I mean RIGHT across the street just behind the vacant Montgomery Ward store. Reasonable ticket prices. the box seats havent been updated since Vida Blue was with the A's and all other seats are bench seats. It also boasts the minor leagues most dangerous kids play area. Although I am not a big fan of 300 million$ state of the art minor league parks this joint needs a lot of renovation. DONT park near the stadium unless you enjoy the sound of broken glass. I greatly enjoyed the atmosphere, the mascott, the tween innings activities, the friendly service and Iowans, and its nice to see that they havent joined the push to out-do other cities and price the average joe out.
