Great Park and Cool Breezes -- 2008-04-17
Great park to catch minor league baseball, the tests of skill between innings is true Americana at it's best Great fan support, with old timers like me able to josh about there personal childhood (present) favorite teams, while unanimous in our devotion to the home town team Say hello to front row joe while you are there, he has been to about a million games and will share treasured stories. Ask him how many world series the Cubs have won vs. the St Louis Cardinals, he will have a fun answer. I always cheer for the cubs, unless Palm Beach is in town The CardinalThe Cardinal
The Jack -- 2006-06-07
I went to a Daytona Cubs game in 2004. It was awesome !!!! I love old stadiums and the location on the city island was breathtaking. The view from the top of the bleachers and the breeze off the water is unworldly. I remember that J.J. Johnson of the Cubs hit a homer down the left field line that bounces into the water when i was there. Since i have been gone, hurricanes have knocked down light posts and then more recently, major renovation have been done. I check it out on line and it looks very new. I hope the old time feel is not lost. I would love to go back to Daytona and i hope to get a chance at the end of Aug, if not then i will leave it open for 2007. I only wish Daytona had spring training so i could hit it then. Worth a visit or 5 !!!

Caught a few games this year (2002) -- 2002-11-04
Caught about 5 games this year watching the Cubbies in Daytona... Great Park, Super cheap VIP seats ($7), IceCream shipped in from Chicago, and cold beer and lukewar hotdogs.
GM is a guy names Buck Rogers, though not the same one youll find on here that managed the Expos... Buck travels the park throughout the game talking to fans, this is a class act team.
Ive taken a bunch of pictures (about 300) from the 5 games I attended, you can view them at http://community.webshots.com/user/acgamblers ....
Goto a Cubs game, youll love it... Well worth the trip if your in the Daytona Area on vacation or if you live here.
Promotion I heard about -- 2001-12-28
Zany Promotion I read about in the paper down here in FL... We are about 20 min from Daytona, local paper carried an article that the cubbies will give you season tickets if you get a tattoo of their team logo on you someplace.
Heheh Im not that big a fan.
