    Phantastic Park! -- 2006-08-27

The best minor league facility in the business! All promotions are great, but be there early to get them. I don't have a dog and I still enjoyed the Bark at the Park. Most of the dogs and their owners behaved. A fun place in a vacation paradise. Nicer than going to Tropicana Field. Great entertainment! They even serve real live cheese steak sandwiches.

    re: "Dog Night" -- 2005-11-16

    Mrs. Humphries,

I'm very sorry to hear that you and your husband were unhappy with your experience at Bright House Networks Field.

On special event nights like Bark at the Ballpark we try to be especially sensitive to the seating needs of all of our guests. We have several sections set aside as 'Dog-Free Zones' and we try to be very flexible when it comes to moving our guests away from dogs to a Dog-Free Zone. I apologize that it did not work out in this particular case. I do hope that you change your mind and do decide to come back and visit us at Bright House Networks Field again in 2006 and beyond.

    Awesome park... -- 2005-04-24

I've been to a lot of minor league parks, and this is definitely my favorite. I've had season tickets with the team for years including at the old Jack Russell stadium. Even though this is my home team I can still safely say it is an awesome place to see a game.

By the way I really enjoyed the "Bark in the Park" and I think so did most others at the park. If you don't enjoy dogs then don't come on August 20th, 2005.

    Barking Dogs Annoy -- 2005-04-20

My husband and I traveled to Clearwater from Hudson,FL, on Sat. night, 4/16/05, to support and watch a baseball game. After we arrived, we found out it was also "Dog Night." We have no problems with dogs, but we happened to get seats (Section 111,Row 5, seats 7&8)next to a couple with a large dog that which they could not control his "loud barking" in our ears. Since there were many empty seats and many other people were moving to other sections, we also moved two sections over to our right after the 2nd inning. Within 5 minutes, the usher advised that we had to move back to our original section, even after explaining the situation with the "loud barking" of the one dog next to us. We did leave that section and stopped by the Customer Service window, but by this time, out of frustration and the ridiculousness of the situation, we decided the best place for us was home, so we left, very upset with the happenings of the night--just to see a ballgame. At least, the usher could have advised us that they could exchange our tickets, or even ask the owners of the loud dog, and the dog, to relocate or control their dog. I'm sure you would like to have your stadium filled, but I don't know when we will ever try to attend another game there. Sincerely, Ruth & Bill Humphries

    New Stadium -- 2004-11-18

The stadium is now brand new Brighthouse Networks Field. It is an incredible new facility. They call the Phillies minor league team the Threshers now. The field is used by the Threshers after the Phillies have finished with spring training. There is nothing like watching a spring training game. Plus you can't beat the Florida weather in the spring after a long cold winter in the Philly area. I enjoy spring training more than the regular season. Also Clearwater offers one of the nicest beaches you'd ever see. It's called Clearwater Beach of course.

Great place to enjoy baseball! -- 2002-11-30

I had the pleasure of enjoying a Phillies spring training game a few years ago. "The Jack" is a clean park with friendly fans and staff. You almost feel guilty; a March afternoon watching baseball on a beautiful, sunny afternoon having a few beers while your friends and family are working in cold New York. Recommended!

Great Spring Training Experience -- 2001-09-18

I've attended grapefruit league games in several cities the past two springs. In terms of overall experience, this is by far the best place to see a game. (This coming from a Braves fan!) The park is nice, well-maintained, and has great ambience. The Tiki Bar is a must! Players are friendly, and frequently interact with the fans. Ball boys toss all the foul balls to the kids. Fans are knowlegeable and sober. Overall, a great place to enjoy a game!

Great way to spend an evening -- 2001-06-15

Every one is friendly from the John Cook, the general manager, right down to the little old lady who sells the programs buy the front gate. We never fail to have a good time. My two sons love going there. Foul balls are easy to get, the food is good old fashion baseball food. Hotdogs, Bratwurst, beer and peanuts. The stuff you're supposed to eat at a ball game. Thirsty Thursday is great. If you like single A ball and happen to be in town it's a must do!

Jack Russell Stadium is kind of old, a bit run down and in a crummy neighborhood but once you're inside the gate it just plain feels right. It's a great baseball stadium. Just go there and have a great time.
