    Franchise name change -- 2005-10-31

As of October 2005 this franchise is now known as the Connecticut Defenders. They will still play at Dodd Stadium.

    WALK on in -- 2003-04-23

I think that the stadium is one of the best in the minors and what made me even more inpressed was a pitcher by the name of Mitch Walk. WOW!! He was unblieveable. We loe this guy

    Good park -- 2002-12-22

Once you make your way up and up and up the hill through an industrial park, you'll find a baseball gem. All the seats are close to the field, and you can even get great seats on game night! The food is good and relatively inexpensive. As with most minor league parks, the between-innings promotions are a little over the top, and the loud, repetitive music they play when the home team scores a run is truly annoying, but, overall, I rate this as one of the best parks in the minors.

    Great park -- 2001-08-03

This was my first AA game in about 15 years - the last being at Beehive Field when New Britain was still a part of the Red Sox system. Dodd Stadium is a great park. Seats about 6000, but was half full for a game against the New Haven Ravens. The food was good and the atmosphere was family-friendly and fun. And, they have a smoking area *inside* the park.

    What it's like -- 2001-07-18

It's the best ballpark ever, especially now that it has food from the community. If you can go, do so!
