    Great Park -- 2002-05-26

My wife and I went to a ballgame here in the summer of 2001. We had a fantastic time. Parking was bad, like the earlier post, but that's my only complaint. I live near a beautiful AA Eastern League park, but it's got nothing on this place. The under the seats concourse was pretty neat. A little bit of a throwback. Most new parks seem to have all of the concessions outside. We bought tickets on the internet a few months prior to our vacation, and they were fantastic, and a great price. There were promotions going on every inning, or so it seemed, but that's part of the minor league experience. Easily the cleanest park I have ever been to. My wife, not really a baseball fan, agreed that the ballgame was the most fun thing we did on our trip.

Love it, love it, love it -- 2001-10-10

Easily the best minor league park I've seen (and I've seen a bunch of them). The park is almost always jammed, and the fans are really into the team - having the Braves' affiliation helps, since most of the natives are Atlanta fans. It's clean, neat, well-kept, and there isn't a bad seat in the house. Concessions are pretty standard, but pretty good and not *too* overpriced. Parking is a problem unless you don't mind a walk; there's one small lot behind RF which usually fills up pretty quickly. I usually park across the street at Broadway at the Beach. One word of warning - if you don't like on-field promotions, stay away, because they promote, promote, promote. There's something almost every half-inning.
