Great Family Night -- 2007-04-08
We celebrated a birthday at the Epicenter last night, and I have to say that I am not personally a baseball fan but I had a Great time last night. The teams mascot Tremor totally stole the show! We had a great time I would recommend a night at the field to everyone!Dawn Jenkins

Section 5 -- 2005-07-07
I recently saw a game at the Epicenter--I sat in Box seats, section 5--GREAT SEATS! I highly recommend going to a game with your family/friends--the Epicenter is designed well where all seats are good viewing--parking is easy, beer is affordable, food is good . . .. Tremor is totally entertaining, and happy to give you a hug--but what I really am writing about is to possibly find the man that was sitting next to me at the game on July 3rd, isle seat.

2005 Trip -- 2005-06-25
We went on a Friday night with Fireworks and although the ticket office indicated the boxes and super boxes were sold out, those sections appeared only half full. I guess a lot of people have tickets and don't use them.
The gates opened offically at 6:00 for a 7:15 start, but at 5:35 my companion (seven year old making his first trip to a minor league park) walked in through the entrance down the 3rd base line. No one stopped us. I had tickets bought tickets a few days ago from their website, but had we not we would have been able to see the game for free.
We caught the last few minutes of Stockton's BP and as the ground crew was about to take the filed over one of the Quakes gave Zachary a stray baseball. All the Quakes were great about autographs, Zachary got 10 from players and one from Erik Bennett the pitching coach. About 6:40 we went down to the bullpen where more players were signing.
The only one who "refused was Coach Bennett, who politely showed Zachary where he had already signed 15 minutes ago. As we took out seats an usher dropped off menus and said we could order at our seats.
We decided ot order dinner that way, but by not being able to find the waitress by the 4th inning we stolled down to the right field grill.
I am not a mascot lover, but Zachary and the other kids loved the two green dinosaurs, Aftershock and Tremor.
i had an excellent Hebrew National Hot Dog for only $3.00 Zachary had the most un-tender Chicken Tenders I have ever seen. They were $5.75 (with fries) and not sold without fries. We also paid $6.50 for a pair of 20 ounce Pepsi's. We watched a couple of innings from there and I must say that the poster who commented that the mountains make all the difference was right on.
It was close for 6 innings but as Stockton had three big innings left on them, the crowd was a little bored as the score approached 17-7. It was Fireworks night, so no one left early.
The commenter who mentioned the screening was dead on also. The park is small enough their is no need to sit up front. Next time, I think we will be near the top. Aside from the normal home plate screen, they had a screen on each dugout roof and one at each picnic area too.
I have been to about a dozen minor league parks, and by far and a way this was the least commercialized. Also, they don;t sell scorecards, they give everyone a free 12 page booklet with rosters stats, a scorepage, and one or two articles at the gate. Even though we didn't use the gate, we each picked one up.
If you are in the area and can handle the traffic, it is worth the trip.

Huge crowd -- 2001-09-07
We saw the Quakes on Mother's Day, and so did everybody else! Nearly sold out, but we got in. This was the year after the MLB strike, and we were trying to decide whether to go to San Diego, or check out the Quakes. The Quakes outdrew the Padres that day! We did not like being in such a crowded stadium, expecially for a Sunday game when there were so many people there with no interest in Baseball. Cucamonga always draws big crowds, but this is not a knock on the park, just our bad luck to be there on Mother's Day. We had seats way down the left field line---not a good view, unless you're doing research on bored left-fielders.

Rancho Cucamonga -- 2001-06-12
The Epicenter is pretty nice but does have it’s drawbacks. There’s almost nowhere to sit without being behind a screen. The area behind the left fence is just an ugly, weedy vacant lot. But inside the park is well taken care of and they have a nice scoreboard. Also, they start at 7:15, which isn’t a bad thing if you’re trying to get there from any distance. The teal is out this year, so the uniforms look better. Rancho has the ugliest mascots in the California League, hands down. Also, if you're a fan of pitching, Rancho is one of the best pitchers' parks around; you won't see too much offense here.
Where to Sit -- 2001-05-20
I didn't know anything about the park when I went so I just got a random ticket. It was on the third base side. The next time I go, and I recommend doing the same, I will get a seat on the first base side. Behind left field there is a mountain that I'm sure makes a nice backdrop to the field. I look forward to seeing if I'm right on my next trip to The Epicenter.
