    I miss this place -- 2006-03-27

Two seasons ago I worked as a section leader at the stadium and pretty much enjoyed every minute of it ( with a few exceptions ). Before working there I was a season ticket holder for a number of years and really lookked forward to each game even when the team was terrible. I made a lot of friends there and met a lot of players from different teams that are now big leagers. The people there are friendly and so are the staff and you can't beat the low cost of the games, I live in Colorado now and I sure do miss that place.

If you want to have a good time for cheap go to Maverick Stadium. There food is great, along with there service. Everyone's friendly and the stadiums very clean. They have a great mascot who is teriffic with kids and the whole team is wonderful. I'd know cuz i'm friends with most of the guys. If i were grading the stadium/staff i'd give everyone and thing an A.

Fun In the "High Desert" -- 2002-04-02

My first and only visit to Mavericks Stadium came in August of last summer. My first impressions on this ballpark were great. The food was excellent consisting of fresh, traditional Mexican food and your standard ballpark fare(hot dogs, popcorn, peanuts, nachos). There was the Hard Rock Cafe along the left field line, which wasn't open(The game was in the day and it was 115 degrees!) At the Hard Rock, you can eat your grub and watch some baseball at the same time while still having a good view of the game. The scenery around the ballpark was very interesting. Joshua trees and large powerlines were the only objects seen from the ballpark. There was also a grass covered hill alone the right field line. This was also not opened(probably for overflow crowds). Overall I think Mavericks Stadium earns a B+. Hopefully I can come back in the NIGHT and see game in the lonely confines of this Mojave beauty.

    High Desert (Adelanto) -- 2001-06-12

Mavericks’ Stadium would rank higher on my list except that it’s so frustrating watching routine fly ball after routine fly ball going for a homerun. You can almost count on one team or the other (or all too often both) scoring at least ten runs any given night. The Mavs’ opener last year was a microcosm of this problem – they scored seven (or eight?) runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to beat Visalia 11-10. This place is the minor league equivalent of Coors Field. But there are some positives. The help is the friendliest in the league and the seats are very comfortable. The field is a little shabby, particularly the infield; it must be tough to grow grass in the summer in the desert.
