Traded Otis Miller, Billy Mullen, Frank O'Rourke and Lefty Stewart to the St. Louis Browns. Received Pinky Hargrave, Bobby LaMotte and Marty McManus.

January 27, 1927

Released Ty Cobb.

December 13, 1927

Traded Lu Blue and Heinie Manush to the St. Louis Browns. Received a player to be named later, Harry Rice, Elam Vangilder and a player to be named. The St. Louis Browns sent Chick Galloway (December 24, 1927) to the Detroit Tigers to complete the trade.

January 31, 1928

Traded Rip Collins to Toronto (International). Received Vic Sorrell.

April, 1928

Sold Carl Hubbell to Beaumont (Texas).
