I saw he only had two career extra-base hits, both doubles. One of them was off Whitey Ford. In fact, Ford was one of just two pitchers off of whom Chance had more than one hit (Mudcat Grant was the other). Besides that rare double, he touched Ford for a go-ahead RBI hit in the bottom of the eighth on August 10, 1963. It broke a scoreless tie, but go figure, Chance blew the game in the ninth.
