  • Each pitcher has an average MP rate based on the equations and their SO, BB and HBP rates.
  • For a catcher, multiply this rate by the opportunities.
  • Add up and compare to actual MP's
  • Opportunities for low BF pitchers (< 150 BF in a 3-year period) are discarded
