Before 1948 Season: Sent from the Atlanta (Southern Association) to the Pittsburgh Pirates in an unknown transaction.
September 14, 1955: Selected off waivers by the Kansas City Athletics from the Pittsburgh Pirates.
April 16, 1956: Traded by the Kansas City Athletics with Lee Wheat and cash to the Brooklyn Dodgers for Tim Thompson.
