June 3, 1980: Drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the 26th round of the 1980 amateur draft.

September 17, 1985: Sent by the Minnesota Twins to the Cleveland Indians to complete an earlier deal made on August 1, 1985. The Minnesota Twins sent a player to be named later, Jay Bell, Curt Wardle and Jim Weaver to the Cleveland Indians for a player to be named later and Bert Blyleven. The Minnesota Twins sent Rich Yett (September 17, 1985) to the Cleveland Indians to complete the trade.

December 21, 1989: Released by the Cleveland Indians.

December 29, 1989: Signed as a Free Agent with the Minnesota Twins.
