March 30, 1965: Purchased by the Cleveland Indians from the New York Yankees.

December 10, 1969: Traded by the Cleveland Indians with Luis Tiant to the Minnesota Twins for Dean Chance, Bob Miller, Graig Nettles and Ted Uhlaender.
