September 25, 1946: Traded by Oakland (PCL) to the Pittsburgh Pirates for a player to be named later and $35,000. The Pittsburgh Pirates sent Johnny Hutchings (December 5, 1946) to Oakland (PCL) to complete the trade.

June 15, 1951: Traded by the Pittsburgh Pirates with Cliff Chambers to the St. Louis Cardinals for Dick Cole, Joe Garagiola, Bill Howerton, Howie Pollet and Ted Wilks.

May 13, 1952: Traded by the St. Louis Cardinals with Eddie Kazak to the Cincinnati Reds for Dick Sisler and Virgil Stallcup.
