May 22, 1923: Traded by the Pittsburgh Pirates with Whitey Glazner and $50,000 to the Philadelphia Phillies for Lee Meadows and Johnny Rawlings.

December 15, 1923: Traded by the Philadelphia Phillies to the Boston Braves for Hod Ford and Ray Powell. Ray Powell refused to report to his new team. The Boston Braves sent cash (December 15, 1923) to the Philadelphia Phillies to complete the trade.
