December 2, 1963: Purchased by the New York Mets from the Milwaukee Braves.

July 24, 1967: Traded by the New York Mets to the California Angels for a player to be named later and cash. The California Angels sent Don Wallace (September 27, 1967) to the New York Mets to complete the trade.

December 2, 1968: Drafted by the Kansas City Royals from the California Angels in the 1968 rule 5 draft.

February 19, 1971: Traded by the Kansas City Royals to the Boston Red Sox for Billy McCool.
