June 7, 1968: Drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the 33rd round of the 1968 amateur draft, but did not sign.

June 5, 1969: Drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 4th round of the 1969 amateur draft.

September 25, 1973: Traded by the St. Louis Cardinals to the California Angels for Jerry Davanon.

April 3, 1974: Traded by the California Angels to the Chicago White Sox for a player to be named later and cash. The Chicago White Sox sent Steve Blateric (August 1, 1974) to the California Angels to complete the trade.

November 5, 1976: Drafted by the Seattle Mariners from the Chicago White Sox as the 5th pick in the 1976 expansion draft.

October 22, 1980: Granted Free Agency.
