April 27, 1961: Traded by the San Francisco Giants with a player to be named later and Don Blasingame to the Cincinnati Reds for a player to be named later and Ed Bailey. The San Francisco Giants sent Sherman Jones (May 13, 1961) to the Cincinnati Reds to complete the trade.

December 15, 1961: Traded by the Cincinnati Reds with Dave Stenhouse to the Washington Senators for Marty Keough and Johnny Klippstein.

May 8, 1963: Purchased by the New York Yankees from the Washington Senators.
