December 5, 1949: Drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals from Shreveport (Texas) in the 1949 minor league draft.

June 14, 1956: Traded by the St. Louis Cardinals with a player to be named later, Jackie Brandt, Dick Littlefield and Red Schoendienst to the New York Giants for a player to be named later, Alvin Dark, Ray Katt, Don Liddle and Whitey Lockman. The St. Louis Cardinals sent Gordon Jones (October 1, 1956) to the New York Giants to complete the trade.

March 27, 1957: Released by the New York Giants.
