September 19, 1960: Traded by the St. Louis Cardinals to the Philadelphia Phillies for Don Landrum.

December 15, 1961: Traded by the Philadelphia Phillies with Taylor Phillips to the Chicago White Sox for Frank Barnes and Andy Carey. Andy Carey refused to report to his new team on March 24, 1962. The Philadelphia Phillies sent Lou Vassie (minors) (March 24, 1962) to the Chicago White Sox to complete the trade. The Chicago White Sox sent Cal McLish (March 24, 1962) to the Philadelphia Phillies to complete the trade.

November 26, 1962: Drafted by the Los Angeles Angels from the Chicago White Sox in the 1962 rule 5 draft.
