April 29, 1932: Traded by the Boston Red Sox with Charlie Berry to the Chicago White Sox for Smead Jolley, Bennie Tate, Johnny Watwood and $7,500.

November 2, 1932: Sent by the Chicago White Sox to the St. Louis Cardinals to complete an earlier deal made on September 11, 1932. The Chicago White Sox sent players to be named later to the St. Louis Cardinals for players to be named later and Evar Swanson. The Chicago White Sox sent Jack Rothrock (November 2, 1932) and Carey Selph (November 2, 1932) to the St. Louis Cardinals to complete the trade.

August 2, 1936: Purchased by the Cincinnati Reds from the St. Louis Cardinals.

April 16, 1937: Purchased by the Philadelphia Athletics from the Cincinnati Reds.

October 5, 1937: Purchased by Indianapolis (American Association) from the Philadelphia Athletics.
