October 10, 1961: Drafted by the Houston Colt .45's from the Milwaukee Braves in the 1961 expansion draft.

March 28, 1963: Traded by the Houston Colt .45's with Hal Haydel and Dick LeMay to the Chicago Cubs for Dave Gerard and Danny Murphy.

June 8, 1964: Sent by the Chicago Cubs to the Milwaukee Braves to complete an earlier deal made on June 3, 1964. The Chicago Cubs sent a player to be named later and $40,000 to the Milwaukee Braves for Len Gabrielson.

Before 1965 Season: Sent from the Milwaukee Braves to the San Francisco Giants in an unknown transaction.
